生涯の一曲を選ぶとしたら、大滝詠一 さんの
君は天然色 です。
小学6年生の頃、新聞配達をしながらオーディオを買い揃え、ラジオをカセットテープに録音していました。
『君は天然色』は中学2年か3年の頃に出た曲で、当時から強く印象に残っています。
今でもよく聴いていますし、ウクレレで弾いてもとても心地いい曲です。
特に好きなのがイントロです。
イントロはEメジャー。
歌い出しでDメジャーへ転調します。
この瞬間、いつもニヤっとしてしまいます。
それと、途中に出てくる三連符。
何度聴いても、新鮮さが失われない一曲です。
You Are Natural Color
If I had to choose one song for my entire life, it would be Eiichi Ohtaki’s
You Are Natural Color.
Back in sixth grade, I delivered newspapers to buy audio gear and recorded radio shows onto cassette tapes.
“You Are Natural Color” came out when I was in eighth or ninth grade, and it made a strong impression on me even then.
I still listen to it often, and it’s a really pleasant song to play on the ukulele.
I especially love the intro.
The intro is in E major.
It modulates to D major at the start of the vocals.
This moment always makes me grin.
Also, the triplets that appear partway through.
No matter how many times I listen, it never loses its freshness.
