旅行で浅草のホテルに泊まりました。

目的もなくホテル近くを散歩していたら、見覚えのある居酒屋の看板。

「捕鯨船」

浅草キッドの舞台、フランス座の近くを歩いていました。

そのまま旧フランス座へ。

今から50年ほど前。
1970年代。

ビートたけしさんが深見千三郎さんに師事していた頃を想像しながら、当時の時間を感じてきました。

師匠とは何か。

私には人としてどう生きるかを教わった師匠が二人います。

もし師匠に出会っていなければ、今の自分はいない。
時間の価値も、人生の景色も、まったく違っていたはずです。

また浅草キッドを観て、曲も弾こう^_^

France-za

I stayed at a hotel in Asakusa during a trip.

While walking around near the hotel with no particular destination, I noticed a familiar izakaya sign.

“Kujira-bune.”

I realized I was near France-za, the place featured in Asakusa Kid.

So I walked over to the old France-za.

About 50 years ago.
The 1970s.

I stood there imagining the days when Beat Takeshi was learning under Senzaburo Fukami, and quietly felt the atmosphere of that era.

What is a mentor?

In my life, I have had two mentors who taught me how to live as a human being.

If I had never met them, I would not be who I am today.
The value of time, and even the scenery of life itself, would have looked completely different.

I want to watch Asakusa Kid again — and play the song too ^_^
