「教えることは二度学ぶことである」
フランスの哲学者ジュベールの教えですが、私は『教えることは教わること』でもあるとあらためて感じてます。

先日、高校２年生のクラスで授業をさせていただきました。
５０分２コマ、計１００分

私が決めた授業のルールは

1. 眠たくなったら寝ていい。
2. スマホ出して気になるワードあったらメモしたり、調べるために使っていい。
   友達からLINEきたら返信していい。ゲームしてもいい。
3. 友達と喋っててもいい。

授業に関心があれば集中して聴いてくれるでしょうが、そうでないならそれは私が用意したコンテンツや話が生徒さんにフィットしなかったということですから反省すべき点です。

自分の実体験から『楽』をする方法を伝えました。

楽をすることは怠けるイメージをされるかもしれませんが、違います。
楽しい時間を作るために楽をする。楽をするということは生産性を上げることです。

そして人生で一番大切なことは多くの失敗をすること。
『～をしたいなー』と言ってるだけで何もしない人がほとんど。
失敗しないですね（笑）
企業サービスで活躍してる人の多くは失敗経験の持ち主ですからこれにも確信を持ってます。
成長するための自己投資に数百万円使った者もいます。

さて授業ですが、予想通り私は大いに学びました。

Teaching is being taught.

Teaching is learning twice over.

I have been reminded of the teaching of the French philosopher, Joubert, that “to teach is to be taught”.

The other day, I had the opportunity to teach a class of high school sophomores.
Two 50-minute periods, 100 minutes in total.

The rules I set for the class were

If you feel sleepy, you can go to bed.
You can take out your cell phone and use it to take notes or look up words that interest you.
If you receive a LINE from a friend, you may reply to it. You can play games.
You can talk with your friends.
If they are interested in the class, they will listen attentively, but if they are not, it means that the content and the talk I prepared did not fit the students, and that is something I should reflect on.

I told them how to make it ‘easy’ based on my own experience.

You may imagine that taking it easy means being lazy, but it is not.
We make it easy in order to make time for fun. Taking it easy means to increase productivity.

And the most important thing in life is to make many mistakes.
Most people just say, ‘I wish I could do ~’ but they don’t do anything.
They don’t fail (laughs).
I’m convinced of this as well, because most people who are active in corporate service have experienced failure.
Some have spent millions of dollars in personal investment to grow.

Now about the class, as expected I learned a lot.
