今週は月曜から東京出張であった。業界団体の理事会と教育研修会への参加が主な目的であったが、築地の鮨江戸時代にも顔を出したかった。自分で言うのもなんですが、非常に美味しい良い店なんですよ・・・。

東京の宿はここ数年、永田町か麹町付近のホテルに決めている。この地区には地方公務員用の宿泊施設が多く、何処も広くて安い。しかも、閑静で治安も良く、小生のようなお登りさんにはもってこいの所である。

そう、ここは皇居に近く、朝目覚めると皇居に向かってご挨拶が出来るのである。そこで、おのぼりさん宜しく、お堀端を歩く。定宿から15分も歩くと、桜田門がある。

ここから明治維新が始まったととも云える桜田門。井伊大老が水戸の浪士に襲撃された桜田門の変が起きた所である。

外桜田門を入ると、この様な広場になっておりコの字に曲がって内桜田門がある。

これが内桜田門。外桜田門と内桜田門をコの字型に造る事によって強靭な防御門になった様である。

This week, I was on a business trip to Tokyo from Monday. While my main purpose was to attend industry association board meetings and educational workshops, I also wanted to visit Tsukiji’s Sushi Edo period. I can’t speak for myself, but it’s a very good restaurant….

For the past few years, I’ve been deciding on a hotel near Nagatacho or Kojimachi in Tokyo. There are many accommodations for local officials in this area, and they are all spacious and cheap. What’s more, it’s quiet and safe, which is perfect for a climber like me.

Yes, this is close to the Imperial Palace, so when you wake up in the morning, you can go to the Palace to say hello. So, I walked along the edge of the moat in honor of Onobori-san. The Sakuradamon Gate is a 15-minute walk from the regular inn.

Sakuradamon Gate, where the Meiji Restoration is said to have begun. This is where the Sakuradamon Incident occurred, when Ii Daigo was attacked by Mito’s ronin.

When you enter the Outer Sakuradamon Gate, you will find a square like this one, with the Uchi Sakuradamon Gate turning in a U-shaped shape.

This is the Uchi Sakuradamon Gate. It seems to have become a strong defense gate by building the outer Sakuradamon Gate and the inner Sakuradamon Gate in the shape of a U-shape.

A few minutes from the Sakuradamon Gate is the double bridge.

昨日、知人の墓参に行ってきた。場所は神戸の大倉山の山裾に所在する祥福寺。知人は他界して３ケ月。

何時も気にはなっていたが、雑事に追われ行けずじまいでいた。ところが昨日の午後少し暇ができたので、急遽墓参することにした。阪急電車で一路神戸へ、高速神戸で下車し、大倉山の山裾まで徒歩約30分、久しぶりの神戸を味わいながら、祥福寺へと向かった。

門前に立って圧倒。大倉山を背に、何ともいえない雰囲気をかもし出している、名刹の名に相応しいお寺であった。30年ほど前に、その知人の父親の葬儀で、このお寺に一度来ているが、その時は特別な感慨は無かった。ところが昨日は全く違った。凛とした静けさと云うか・・・素朴で重厚・・・、如何にも禅宗のお寺らしいお寺であり、何ともいえない重厚な雰囲気に圧倒された。

本堂に入り声を掛けると、20歳ソコソコの若いお坊さんが出てきた。実は・・・・・・と墓参の旨を告げると、暫くお待ち下さいとの返答。　待つこと約５分、　先ほどのお坊さんと違い、少し年季を感じさせるお坊さんが出てきて、「時間を過ぎており、お参りは本当は出来ませんが、・・・・様の墓参とか、特別にお参りしていただきますが、案内をさせますので暫くお待ち下さい・・・」とのこと。

かってが違う・・・、小生はただ本堂をお参りし、手を合わせれば位の感覚であり、まさか案内されてのお参りなど考えても居なかった。しまった、お布施も何も無い・・・。しかし、今さらジタバタしたとて、と腹をくくり、案内を待つことにした。

案内に出てきたのは、やはり20歳ソコソコの修行僧。　こちらへ・・、長い渡り廊下から参道に入り、本堂の裏に在る「弐重の塔」へと案内された。お坊さんの説明によると、弐重の塔が納骨堂になっており、そこに納骨されているとのこと。

わざに弐重の塔の鍵を開け、塔の中へと案内して頂いた。普通、五重塔とか三重塔とか、中に入れてもらえることすら滅多に無いが、私一人の為に、しかも時間外で施錠されているにも関わらず、施錠を解いて中に入れて貰えた。こちらに・・・さんはお納めされています。

確りと手を合わせお祈りをした。

境内ではお坊さんが大きな鐘を突きながら、大きな声でお経を読んでいた。こんな光景に出会ったのもはじめてであった。

墓参を済ませすがすがしい気持ちで、三ノ宮へ。実は墓参のついでにと、久しぶりに同級生と待ち合わせをしていた。6時丁度に同級生とドッキング。「安くて美味しいところ・・・」と注文をつける。なんと、彼が案内してくれた店に入って、ビックリ・・・。

その店、神戸に来るたびに行きたい行きたい、と探していた店であった。実は20年も前のこと、墓参目的の人に２・３回連れて行ってもらった店で、以来一度行きたい行きたいと思っていた店であったのだ。店に入るなり、突然大きな声を上げた。この店・・・エッ・・・ほんと・・・。

アー彼が連れてきてくれたのだな・・・。こんな事ってあるのだなー・・・、彼も一緒に来たかったのだな・・・、何ともなんとも不思議な感じであった。

Yesterday, I went to visit the grave of an acquaintance. The location is Shoufuku-ji Temple at the foot of Okurayama in Kobe. The acquaintance passed away three months ago.

I’ve always been concerned about it, but I’ve been so busy with other things that I’ve been unable to get there. However, I had some free time yesterday afternoon, so I decided to visit the grave in a hurry. We took the Hankyu train to Kobe, got off at the expressway Kobe, and walked for about 30 minutes to the foot of Mt.

Standing in front of the gate, overwhelmed. I visited this temple once about 30 years ago for the funeral of the acquaintance’s father, but I didn’t feel any special emotion at that time. Yesterday, however, it was completely different. I was overwhelmed by the dignified silence, the simple and dignified atmosphere of the temple.

When I entered the main hall, a young monk, about 20 years old, came out. When I told him that I was going to visit his grave, he replied that he would wait for a while.　After about five minutes of waiting, a monk who looked a little older than the one who had just come out said, “It’s past the time and we can’t really visit your grave, but we’d like to visit your grave or something special, but please wait a while so we can show you around.

I had no idea that I would be guided to the main hall to pay my respects and join my hands. Oh, no, there’s no offer or anything… However, I decided to wait for the guide with a sigh of relief.

The one who came out to guide us was also a so-so monk of 20 years old.　We were led into the approach through a long corridor and led to the ‘Niijuno-to’ at the back of the main hall. According to the monk’s explanation, there is an enshrinement hall with a double-layered pagoda and the remains are enshrined there.

He unlocked the two-layered tower and led us into the tower. It’s not often that they even let me go inside the five-story pagoda or the three-story pagoda, but for me alone, even though it was after hours and locked, they unlocked the door and let me in. Mr……………………………..

We put our hands together firmly and prayed.

In the temple grounds, a monk was reading sutras in a loud voice while pushing a large bell. It was the first time I had ever seen such a scene.

After visiting the grave, I went to Sannomiya with a refreshed feeling. I docked with my classmate at 6:00 a.m. I’ll give you an order: “A cheap and delicious place… I walked into the shop he led me to and was surprised…

It was a restaurant I had been looking for every time I came to Kobe, wanting to go there. 今朝会社のトイレに入って、感動。　　”何それ！”って思われるでしょうが、　　実は、弊社のトイレに「日めくり名言集」
が掛かっている。誰がめっくってくれたか知らないが、今朝目に飛び込んで来たのが、この言葉・・・。

そうだ・・・全くその通りだ、　　小泉元総理は、大相撲で「感動」したが、小生はトイレの便器に腰掛けながら　「感度」
したのである。

日本の政治家も、下手な失言ばかりで「ゴメンなさい」の繰り返しじゃ芸が無い。これくらいの名言が吐けないものか。

その箴言の横に小さな字で、こんなのもあった。

Yes… that’s exactly right, former Prime Minister Koizumi was “impressed” with sumo, but I was “sensitive” while sitting on a toilet bowl.
This is the reason why I did it.

Japanese politicians are too lame to say “I’m sorry” repeatedly. I can’t think of a better way to say it than this.

Next to that proverb, in small print, there was also something like this.

台風12号、大型でゆっくりとした最も性質の悪い台風のようである。
余り性質の良い台風って聞かないが、この12号は進路も少し変わっており、太平洋から日本海に、真横に横断しそうな雰囲気である。

　天罰はもうけっこう・・・、日本人の多くは東北大地震で多くの事を思い知らされ、
反省もしているのだから・・？

　台風と言えば思い出すことがある。　私が小学生の頃、通学に徒歩30分を要した。
しかも海岸端の地道を延々と30分歩くのである。当時は集団登校などと云う洒落たものは無かったが、自然と近所の子供同士誘い合って、４・
５人固まって登下校する。

　冬は相当厳しいが、春、秋ののどかな日など最高である。
朝はそれでも真っ直ぐに登校するが、帰りはまともに帰る事はない。海岸を歩きもって蛸を採ったり、貝を採ったり、
海鴨を見つけては石を投げる、当たる訳などないが、それでも当時は可也真剣であった。

　海に飽きれば山越えをする。秋はアケビにフユビ、エブに椎の実など、
自然の宝庫であった。従って、家に帰るのは何時も夕暮れ時。そこで、母が私に付けたあだ名が「時知らず」、帰宅すると、何時も挨拶の如く、
「このトキシラズが・・」と叱られたものである。

　ところが台風の日ばかりは真っ直ぐに帰途につく。しかしこれが大変・・・、
当時はろくな防波堤などなく、台風の波が道を洗う・・・正に道を洗うのである。従って、浪と浪の隙間を読み取って一気に走り、
浪が打ち寄せる瞬間に山側に非難、その繰り返しで必死で家に帰るのである。時に高波が打ち寄せると、民家の屋根にかかるくらいなのだから、
小学生に取っては大変なことであった。

　マスコミ報道によると、認知症の症状がある入院患者の爪を、こともあろうに看護助手が剥がし、逮捕されたと云う。爪を剥がすなどと云う行為は、拷問の中の拷問であり、聞いただけでゾッとするが、それが病気治療の為に入院している病院で行われていたと言う。何とも惨い話しであるが、どうも事実の様である。

　しかも、この事件を起こした看護助手、過去にも同様の事件を起こし、３年８ケ月の実刑判決を受けた御仁とか。ここに至っては空いた口が塞がらないと云うか・・・全くもってである。

　ここで小生が何が云いたいか、判る人は分かり、「もうろくしたでも有るまいに、同じことを何度も云うな・・・」とお叱りを受けるかも知れないが、それでも云わずにおれないのだ！！。

　この看護助手を雇っていた病院長は、「履歴書には過去の事件については記載が無く、採用について問題ないと判断した」としている、とのこと。

　被害者に対し、病院側が今後どのように対処するかは判らないが、今日のマスコミ報道を見る限りでは、病院の採用システムを問題視し、杜撰な採用を糾弾する様な内容の記事は目にしない。

　誰もが気付いている事と思うが、今のマスコミは、この杜撰な採用を批判する思想を持たない。厚生労働省しかり、人権団体しかり。それはそうでしょう、「採用時の調査は差別につながるおそれがあるので、してはいけない」と１０年一日の如く一貫して指導し、大声で叫んで来たのだから、いまさら「採用に際しては、経歴を確り確認し、公正な採用に務めましょう・・・」などとはとても云えまい。

　人権をうたって、命に関わるような人権が侵されてしまった。数ヶ月前にもトレーラーが小学生の集団登校の列にノーブレーキで突っ込み、尊い子供の命が奪われた事件があったが、このケースも全く同様で、この運転手も過去に同様の事件を起こしていた。また、数年前ではあるが塾講師が生徒を殺すという惨い事件があったが、この講師も素行不良で過去問題視されていた人物であった。

　こうした事件を回避するには、採用時に応募者の経歴チェックをする以外に方法は無いが、今の日本は「採用調査」に対し極めて否定的である。いかなる力が働いてこんな事になっているのか知らないが、厚生労働省などは話し合いをしようともしない。ただ一方的に行政指導の名の下に、通達するのみである。

　これがアメリカだと、ノーチェックで採用し、このような事件を起こした会社は、２度と立ち上がれないくらいのペナルティーを受けるが、日本では、会社の「使用者責任」を追及しようとする姿勢は少ない。会社は「採用法が甘かった・・・」等と２・３回頭を下げれば、それ以上マスコミも警察も追及しようとはしない。同じことが繰り返されているにも関わらず・・・。

　資本の三原則、「人、物、金」などは中学生の頃に学ぶ、社会の常識であり、中でも企業の命運を左右するのは人である。ところが、その人を採用するのに、「如何なる人物か調査してはいけない」等と、日本の人権論者はのたまうのである。結果、このような痛ましい人権侵害が起こっているにも関わらず・・・・。

　もう少し皆で考えてみようではありませんか・・・・？。

The only way to avoid such incidents is to conduct background checks on applicants at the time of hiring, but Japan is now extremely negative about “recruitment checks”. I don’t know what forces are at work in this situation, but the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and others are not willing to talk about it. It can only unilaterally pass the word in the name of administrative guidance.

In the U.S., a company that hires without a check and causes such an incident is penalized to the point of never being able to stand up again, but in Japan, there is little willingness to pursue “employer responsibility” for the company. As long as the company bows its head two or three times saying, “The hiring law was lax…”, neither the media nor the police will pursue it any further. Even though the same thing is being repeated…

The three principles of capital, “people, goods, and money”, are common sense in society, which we learn in junior high school, and among them, people determine the fate of a company. However, the Japanese human rights theorists insist that we should not investigate what kind of person he or she is when we hire him or her. As a result, even though these grievous human rights violations are happening …

Why don’t we all think about it a little more…?
