情味
今週日曜日女房と二人で、映画「北の桜守」を観に行った。よかった！！、久しぶりに感動した。なんといっても吉永小百合がよかった。丁度１２０本目とか。これを機にと考えていたのかも・・？と思わせるくらいに、力のこもった名演であった。滝田洋二郎監督っていいよな。だいぶ前になるが、滝田監督の「おくりびと」も良かった。
わが師、中村天風哲人は、日々、「情味」を味わいながら生きろという。裕福とか貧乏とか、そんなものは全く関係ない。情味を味わって生きることが、値ある幸福な生き方だと。所謂、どんな事にでも情味が味わい、情味を見いだす人間になれということだ。
そう、滝田洋二郎監督の映画には「情味」が感じられる。だから心がふるえるのだと思う。それに比べ、２週間ほど前に観た「空海」のつまらなかったこと。日中合作で前宣伝も大々的であったため、これを見逃してはと、予定を切り詰めて観に行ったが、見事につまらなかった。凡人ゆえに理解できず、良さがわからないと云われるかも知れないが、一緒に観にいった女房の感想も同様であった。ただ、「空海」に名を借りただけの映画に思えた。実は、あの中に真言密教の世界があるのだ・・などと云うのかも知れないが、僕にとっては「睡魔との闘いに疲れきった」としか言いようの無い映画であった。
This Sunday, my wife and I went to see the movie “Sakuramori of the North”. That’s great! I was impressed for the first time in a long time. If anything, Sayuri Yoshinaga was good. It’s just the 120th one. Maybe you were thinking this was a good time to…? It was a masterful performance with so much power that it made me think, “Oh, my God! Yojiro Takita is a good director. It’s been a long time, but I liked Takita’s “Departures” as well.
My teacher, Teppo Nakamura, tells us to live our lives with “emotion” every day. Wealthy or poor, it doesn’t matter at all. It’s a worthy and happy way to live. So to speak, I want to be a person who can taste and find emotion in anything.
Yes, the film directed by Yojiro Takita has a sense of “emotion”. I think that’s why my heart is shaking. In comparison, I watched “Kukai” about two weeks ago, and it was boring. The film was a daytime co-production and was heavily advertised, so I cut back on my schedule to see it, hoping to miss it, but it was spectacularly boring. My wife, who went to see the film with me, felt the same way. It just seemed like a movie that borrowed its name from “Kukai”. As a matter of fact, I might say that there is a world of Shingon Esoteric Buddhism in that movie… but for me, all I could say was that I was tired of fighting against sleepiness.
