三八会
三八会。昭和３８年中学卒の同級生会の名称が「三八会」、
極めて単純な名前で何処にでもありそうであるが、小生にとってはとても貴重な名前であり会である。我が家の娘などは「サンパチカイ」
と聞くだけで、呆れ顔になる。何故かって・・・、余りにも多いから。「お父さん、同窓会年に何回やるの・・・？」、
そんな事を言われながら今週の日曜も朝早くから三八会の集まりにイソイソと出かけた。
集合は新幹線の三島駅、１２時ジャスト。昼から箱根観光をして、夜は大箱根ホテル泊、
翌６日は大箱根ゴルフクラブでゴルフを楽しもうとの企画。
気のおけないやんちゃ坊主（女）の集まり、年に何回やっても楽しさは変わらない。
日曜の箱根は今にも雨になりそうなどんよりとした天気、翌月曜は朝から結構な雨。ところが流石女子プロのトーナメント開催地（今年８月）、
芝はしっかりしているしグリーンの速さは天下一品、７ヤードで打ったつもりが５ヤードオーバー。
出だしからスリーパットのボギーと午前中は散々であったが、昼からは早いグリーンにも少し慣れ、パー６の好成績で終わった。

箱根のロープウエイ。２０人乗り位の大型でひっきりなしに来る、そのスケールの大きさにビックリ・・。
箱根の大涌谷。地球の息吹をまざまざと感じさせる風景であった。観光客は相当数いたが、アレッここはどこ、中国か・・？、
と錯覚しそうなくらい中国語が飛び交っていた。
箱根の「ススキの原」。写真は上手く撮れていないが秋風にたなびくススキの波は圧巻であった。
Sanhachi Kai. The name of the classmates who graduated from the junior high school in 1963 was “Sanpachi-kai”.
It’s a very simple name, which seems to be found everywhere, but to me it’s a very precious name and an association. Our daughters and others are “sampachi kai.

With this in mind, I went out early in the morning this Sunday to the 38th meeting of the Society.
The meeting was at Mishima Station on the Shinkansen, just before 12:00. Hakone sightseeing from noon, the night is a big Hakone hotel stay.
The next day, we planned to play golf at Oh Hakone Golf Club.
A group of mischievous boys (and girls) who can’t be bothered, the fun doesn’t change no matter how many times you do it a year.

The turf is solid and the greens are fast, I hit it at 7 yards but it was 5 yards over.
It was a messy morning with a three-putt bogey from the start, but from noon I got used to the early greens and finished with a good par 6.
