郷土の誇り、　その後プライバシー

昨日（日曜日）、関西西郷会（隠岐の島の通称島後と呼ばれる島の中心部、
旧西郷町出身の関西在住者の会）の総会に、近畿国賀会（隠岐の島の島前地区、西ノ島町出身者の会）の会長を務めている関係で招待があり、
参加した。島は違っても同じ隠岐の島の出身。顔見知りの人も多く、楽しい一時を過ごすことが出来た。

なんと、その中に教王護国寺（京都の東寺）の長者、砂原秀遍氏がお見えになっていた。
東寺の長者と言えば真言宗最高位の方である。そんな偉い方が何で関西西郷会に顔を出しているのか・・・。

実は、砂原さんは隠岐の島の出身なのです。まさに郷土の誇り。
御自身挨拶の中でもお話になっておられたが、学歴は尋常小学校卒。「仏の道に学歴は関係ない」と言えばそれまでだが、それにしても凄い。
普通であれば直接お話など出来ない方だが、とにかく気取りのない気さくな方で、私ごときにも気軽に応じてくれた。ありがたいことである。
何時もながら充実した休日であった。

そんな良い気分で出社したが、今は少し血圧が上がっている。このブログを書いている横で調査員が
「何がプライバシーだ・・」と、怒り心頭に達した感じで電話で怒っている。「何を怒っているん・・・？」
、調査員に問いただすと、こんどは、調査員の答えに皆が大笑い。楽しくて笑うのではない、笑うしかないから笑っている。

調査員曰く、「古い所番地なのか地図を幾ら調べても場所が特定できないので該当地の役場
「大阪の阪南市役所」に電話を入れ、○○町○○番地はどこらでしょうか、
地図を見ているのですがよく分からないので教えてください・・、」、と尋ねた。するた役場の女子事務員、「エッ、それは教えられません、
一寸まって下さい」、そこで上司らしい人に電話を変わる、そこで調査員が再度繰り返し住所を尋ねると、その上司曰く
「それはプライバシーですからお応えできません」とのたまったとのこと。
個人名を出して住所を尋ねた訳ではない・・。ただ単に住所を聞いただけであると言う。そこで、
「何がプライバシーだ」とつい大声になったとのこと。　やはり笑うしか方法がない・・。
笑い話でない本当の話。

Yesterday (Sunday), I visited the Kansai Saigo-kai (located in the center of the island commonly called Shimago in Oki Island).
I was invited to the general meeting of the Kinki Kokuga-kai (Association of people from Nishinoshima-cho, Shimamae area of Oki Island) as I am the president of the Kinki Kokuga-kai (Association of people from Nishinoshima-cho, Shimamae area of Oki Island).
Participated. He is from the same Oki Island, although the islands are different. We had a good time with many familiar faces.

Among them was Mr. Sunahara Shuben, the chief priest of Kyougo Gokokuji Temple (Toji Temple in Kyoto).
He is the highest-ranking member of the Shingon sect. Why is such a great person appearing in the Kansai Saigo-kai…

In fact, Mr. Sunahara is from the Oki Islands. It is truly the pride of the hometown.
As you mentioned in your greeting, your educational background is an ordinary elementary school graduate. You can say “Education is not a factor in the path of Buddha” and that’s it, but it’s still great.
He is not a person you would normally be able to talk to directly, but he is an easy-going person who is easy to talk to, even for me. Thank goodness for that.
It was a fulfilling holiday as usual.

I went to work in such a good mood, but now my blood pressure has risen a bit. As I’m writing this blog, an investigator
‘What’s with the privacy…’ he calls angrily, feeling like he’s reached his angry mind. What are you angry about…?
When I confronted the investigator, everyone laughed at his answer. I don’t laugh because I’m having fun, I’m laughing because I can’t help but laugh.

The investigator said, “I couldn’t identify the place no matter how many times I checked the map, whether it was an old address or the town hall of the place.
Call Hannan City Hall in Osaka and ask for the address of the town.
I’m looking at the map, but I’m not sure, so please tell me…,” he asked. A female clerk at the Surita Town Hall said, “Ehh, I can’t tell you that.
Then the phone changes to someone who looks like a boss, where the investigator repeatedly asks for the address, and the boss says
I can’t respond to that because it’s private.
I didn’t ask for an address with a personal name… He says he simply asked for the address. So.
What’s your privacy?” she said loudly.　After all, the only way is to laugh…
A true story, not a funny one.

調査録2005/11/15

ラッキー案件

社内でラッキー案件と呼ばれる調査がたまにある。一般的には採用調査であるが、一人の求職者が複数の企業に応募し、
弊社にその採用調査を別々の企業から依頼してくるケースである。ところが、今回のラッキー案件はそれと少し違い、
１ケ月ほど前に調査した被調査人が偶さか別の企業に応募し、その調査が弊社に来たのである。こんなケースは滅多にないが、
それでも年に１?２件はある。

担当調査員、案件を受け取るや否や「あれ・・、この人記憶あるでー」、「ラッキー、○○会社で１ケ月前に遣っている案件や」、
ところが暫くして調査員、「参ったまいった」と嘆くことしきり。被調査人は同一人物でありながら履歴書記載の職歴が大幅に相違している。
職歴確認は再度やり直し。前回の職歴に無かった職歴があり、有った職歴が無くなっている。
調査をしているうちに調査員も何がなんだか訳が分からなくなり、ラッキーどころか、かえって時間がかかってしまったと云うわけである。勿論、
前回の調査でも「問題あり、要検討」の応募者として報告しており、今回も同じく「問題あり、要検討」ではあるが、
報告書は一から書き直さなければならなかった。

履歴書ていったい何だ・・・、少し考えさせられた案件であった。

それでも今回の応募者は、職歴が中小企業中心であったという事もあり、結構取材先も調査に協力的であったが、
これが大企業や官公庁であれば先ず無理。「個人情報については一切お応えできません」で終わりである。

そんな事をヒントに、このブログを書きながらフッと考えた、こんな儲かりもしない難しい商売をしているよりも、
「絶対に合格する就職ガイダンス」　と名うってセミナー業でも遣ろうかと・・。
「貴方の過去は問いません、お好きな履歴をご用意します。今日から貴方は一流商社マン、本当の学歴なんて関係ない、貴方は今日から東大卒、
私は明日から京大卒。絶対に判らない履歴書詐称の記載方法を教えます・・」などと云うのはどうだろう。しかも、
就職の際の調査は差別につながる恐れがあるからしてはいけません」と、税金を使って必死に行政指導している厚生労働省と共催するというのは。

There are occasional investigations that are called “lucky cases” within the company. Typically, it is a hiring survey in which a single job seeker applies to multiple companies.
In this case, different companies asked us to conduct a recruitment survey. However, this time’s lucky case is a little different from that.
About a month ago, the respondent who had conducted the survey applied to another company, and the survey came to us. It’s not often that this happens.
Still, it’s one or two a year.

As soon as the investigator in charge receives the case, “Oh, this person has a memory”, “Lucky, it’s a case I did a month ago at a certain company”, and so on.
After a while, however, the investigator lamented, “I’m overwhelmed. Although the investigator is the same person, there is a significant difference in the work history listed on his resume.
The work history check is redone. You have a job history that was not in your previous job history, and the job history that was there is no longer there.
During the investigation, the investigator was at a loss as to what was going on, and it took him a long time. Of course.
In the previous survey, we reported that the applicant was “problematic and needs to be considered”, and this time, the applicant was also “problematic and needs to be considered”.
The report had to be rewritten from scratch.

What the hell is a resume…this case made me think a little.

Nevertheless, this year’s applicants were mostly from small and medium-sized companies, and the interviewees were quite cooperative with the survey.
If this is a large company or government office, it is impossible. It ends with, “We can’t respond to any personal information.

That’s when it occurred to me, as I was writing this blog, that rather than running such an unprofitable and difficult business, I should be doing something about it.
I’m thinking of doing a seminar under the name of “job-hunting guidance for those who will definitely pass.
We don’t need to know your past, we can provide you with a history of your choice. From now on, you’re a top trading company man, I don’t care what your education is, you’re a graduate of Tokyo University.
I’m a graduate of Kyoto University starting tomorrow. How about “I’ll teach you how to write a fraudulent resume that you’ll never understand…” and so on? Moreover.
I don’t understand why the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, which is desperately using taxpayers’ money to provide administrative guidance, is co-sponsoring the investigation into employment because it could lead to discrimination.

プライベートな話2005/11/08

素晴らしい土日

5日土曜日は朝から妻と2人で京都へ。午前中は京都国立博物館の特別展覧会「最澄と天台の国宝」を観た。
国宝級の数多くの仏像を拝観し、心洗われる思いであった。あまりの展示物の多さに少々疲れ気味であったが素晴らしい展覧会であった。その後、
娘が学ぶ学校の教育講演会に出席。映画「森の学校」（河合雅雄原作、西垣吉春監督）を観賞した。これがまた素晴らしかった。
原作者宮崎雅雄の子供時代（昭和10年代の丹波笹山）を映画化したものであるが、私の幼少時の原風景と寸分違わないと言った感じで、
懐かしく又楽しく観賞する事ができた。子供が子供らしく伸び伸びと自然に親しみ成長することの大切さ、
そんな中から豊かな人間性が形成されることを強く訴えかける素晴らしい映画であった。上映と講演のために西垣監督がお見えになっていたが、
監督のお顔がまた素晴らしかった。

翌日曜日午前中は天風会の日曜行修に参加。月初めは何時も体操の後、天風先生の講演テープを聞く会（月例会）になっており、
昭和39年の講習会で先生がお話になった「信念と奇跡」と題する70分のテープを拝聴した。これがまた素晴らしかった。
内容を要約するのは難しいが「人生における信念の大切さ、そして信念を強くする具体的方法と信念発揮の方法」
を懇切丁寧に説いているものであった。

午後はまた妻と2人で長女が研究室勤めをしている大学の学園祭を見に行った。久しぶりに娘が明るく活き活きとして働く姿をみて一安心。
充実した素晴らしい土日であった。

明日は東京出張。全国調査業協同組合が主催する教育研修会に参加する為である。今回の研修会講師は衆議院議員の山本拓先生
（調査業に関するワーキングチームの座長）であり、調査業法案に関するいろんな話が聞けるものと楽しみにしている。同時に、
自分なりの考え方も先生に申し上げてみたいと思っている。

My wife and I went to Kyoto in the morning on Saturday. In the morning, I visited the Kyoto National Museum’s special exhibition “Saicho and the National Treasures of Tendai”.
It was very refreshing to see so many statues of Buddha that are national treasures. It was a wonderful exhibition, although I was a little tired from the sheer number of exhibits. After that.
She attended an educational lecture at her daughter’s school. I watched the movie “School of the Forest” (written by Kawai Masao and directed by Nishigaki Yoshiharu). This was great again.
The film is an adaptation of the childhood of the author Miyazaki Masao (Tanba Sasayama in the Showa 10’s), and it is no different from the original landscape of my childhood.
I was able to enjoy watching it both nostalgically and happily. The importance of a child’s growth and development in nature, and the importance of a child’s ability to grow up in nature.
This is a wonderful film that strongly emphasizes the formation of a rich humanity from such a situation. Director Nishigaki was there for the screening and lecture, but
The director’s face was great again.

The following Sunday morning, I participated in the Sunday Goshu of the Tenpukai. At the beginning of the month, we always have a monthly meeting to listen to a lecture tape of Dr. Amikaze after exercise.
I listened to a 70-minute tape titled “Beliefs and Miracles,” which he spoke about at a seminar in 1964. This was great again.
It’s hard to summarize the content, but “the importance of beliefs in life, and specific ways to strengthen them and demonstrate them.
It was a careful and thoughtful explanation of the meaning of the term “I’m going to do this.

In the afternoon, my wife and I went to see the school festival at the university where my eldest daughter works in a laboratory. I was relieved to see my daughter working cheerfully and vigorously for the first time in a long time.
It was a great and fulfilling Saturday.

I’m going on a business trip to Tokyo tomorrow. To participate in an education and training session organized by the National Association of Surveyors. Mr. Taku Yamamoto, a member of the House of Representatives, was the lecturer at this workshop.
I’m looking forward to hearing all sorts of stories about the Survey Industry Bill. At the same time.
