中村天風「誓いの言葉」
誓いの言葉（我らの誓い）
「今日一日、怒らず怖れず悲しまず、正直 親切 愉快に、力と勇気と信念とを持って、自己の人生に対する責務を果たし、常に平和と愛とを失わざる、立派な人間として生きることを、厳かに誓います」
毎朝寝起きと同時に、この「誓いの言葉」を黙唱し、自分自身に誓う。しかし、中々このとおりには行かない。故にまた遣る。毎日がこの繰り返しである。
ローマは一日にして成らず。上手く行かなくとも、打ちひしがれる必要は全く無い。続けること、信じて行うこと。すると必ず変わってくる。
先ずは思うことである。思えば遣るようになる。遣るようになれば、何時かは実る。
これは真理ですぞ・・・
Vows (our vows)
I solemnly pledge that today I will not be angry, not be afraid, not be sad, but be honest, kind, pleasant, with strength, courage, and conviction, to fulfill my responsibilities to my life, and to live as a worthy human being, always in peace and love.
Every morning as I wake up from bed, I silently recite these “vows” and swear to myself. However, things don’t always work out this way. Therefore, I will do it again. Every day is a repetition of this.
Rome was not accomplished in a day. If it doesn’t work out, there’s no need to be discouraged at all. Keep doing it, believe in it and do it. Then it will always change.
The first thing to do is to think. If you think about it, you’ll start using it. If you learn to use it, you will bear fruit eventually.
