先週月曜から金曜まで５日間、シンガポールに行って来た。仕事では無いがまったくの遊びでもない。

所属する船場ロータリーとシンガポールロータリーが１０数年前から姉妹提携をしており、親交を深める意味もあって、お互いたまに訪問し合うことにしている。特に今期はシンガポールが東日本大震災のボランティアで東北に来てくれたと云う事もあり、自然と表敬訪問の機運が高まり、実施となった。

総勢１８名での表敬訪問。着いた翌日には地上６２階建ての超高層ビル６１階で　ウエルカムパーティーが開催されたが、６１階は流石に高い。シンガポール全土が見えると云った感じで感動した。

翌日の例会場は打って変わって、１８００年代に建築されたと云う重厚な建物、これはこれでまた素晴らしく、現地３泊４日の短い旅であったが、ゴルフ、ショッピング、観光、表敬訪問と充実した日を過ごすことが出来た。

で、旅行と云えば写真・・・と云う事であるが、何時もの如く入れたつもりが入れてなく、携帯は着いた途端に電池切れ、従って写真一枚撮る事無く、確りと目に焼きつけ無事帰国と相成った。

I went to Singapore for five days from Monday to Friday last week. It’s not work, but it’s not play at all.

The Rotary of Semba and the Rotary of Singapore, which I belong to, have had a sisterhood for more than 10 years, and we visit each other occasionally to deepen our friendship. In particular, Singapore came to Tohoku this year as a volunteer after the Great East Japan Earthquake, which naturally increased the momentum of the courtesy visit and made it happen.

A total of 18 people paid a courtesy call. The day after we arrived, a welcome party was held on the 61st floor of a 62-story skyscraper, but the 61st floor is quite tall. I was so impressed that I could see the whole of Singapore.

The next day’s meeting place was a different kind of building, which was built in the 1800’s. It was very nice as well, and although it was a short trip of three nights and four days, I could spend a good day with golf, shopping, sightseeing, and a courtesy call.

I didn’t put in my cell phone, but the battery ran out as soon as I got there. Therefore, I didn’t take a single photo, but I burnt it in my eyes and returned to Japan safely.

今週４日から大相撲大阪場所。昨年は八百長問題で流れたため、２年ぶりの大阪場所である。

大相撲観戦など今までは余り関心が無かったが、「隠岐の海」の活躍で一気に熱をおび、この時期我が家の夕食は、勝った負けたで大賑わいである。そんな事から、親戚のお婆さんに声を掛け、桟敷席での大相撲観戦とシャレてみた。

大相撲は朝８時半から取り組みがあると言うが中入りは４時過ぎ、従って、少し早めの３時頃に出かけ、十両の土俵入りからじっくりと観戦することが出来た。

The Osaka sumo tournament starts on the 4th this week. This is the first time in two years that the Osaka tournament has been held since last year, when it was overshadowed by the 8-hyang issue.

I hadn’t paid much attention to watching sumo tournaments until now, but the activities of the “Oki Sea” have turned up the heat at once, and at this time of year, our family dinners are very busy with wins and losses. So, I asked an old lady who was a relative of mine to watch the sumo tournament on the stage.

They say the sumo tournament starts at 8:30 a.m., but the middle entry is after 4:00 a.m. So I went out a little early, around 3:00 a.m., to watch the Juryou ring-entering.

A walk on the sea in the Oki Islands and win by debit on the day.

　今年の冬は結構厳しく、好きなゴルフも遠のき気味であったが、今週は結構暖かかった。ただ生憎の雨で日・月・火とつぶれ今日やっと陽の目を観た。

　朝何時もの様に天風体操（呼吸繰連、統一式運動、積極体操）をしているとプーンと梅花の香りが漂ってきた・・・。　　何と清清しい朝だろう・・・。

　是非ともこの香りを、このブログを覗いてくれる貴方に届けたくて・・・・

The long awaited spring is coming…

My garden smells like spring, it’s fun, it’s fun, it’s fun…♪

The winter has been pretty tough this year and my favorite golf has been a bit of a distant memory, but it was pretty warm this week. It was raining on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, but we finally saw the light today.

When I was doing the Heavenly Wind Gymnastics (Yobakuren, Unified Exercise, Positive Gymnastics) as usual in the morning, the smell of plum blossoms came in the air….　　What a clear morning….

I wanted to send this scent to you who are peeking at this blog….

先週末、３日の土曜日、NPO法人JRP（ジャパンリーガルパートナーズ）から講演依頼があり、「調査事務所の裏側」と題して１時間３０分程、喋ってきた。

　JRPと云うのは、士業の方の勉強会で、弁護士、司法書士、弁理士、社会保険労務士、不動産鑑定士、行政書士、税理士さんが大半で、約３０名の参加であった。士業の中でも若手中心の勉強会で、大半が３０から４０才台。土曜日と云う事もあり、皆ラフな姿で参加しており、勝手に抱いていたイメージとは随分違い、少し戸惑いを感じたが、私の前に帝国データバンクさんの「信用調査の裏側」と題した話しがあり、何となく雰囲気はつかめたので、可也リラックスした気持ちで話すことが出来た。

　演題は一方的にJRPの代表者が決めたもの。この代表者は、何でも裏側から観るのが好きらしく、前半も後半も「裏側」と題したものであったが、私は特に裏の話しをしようと思った訳ではない。でも、探偵と云えば裏家業と云うイメージが強い。しかも、「探偵の裏側」と題してであるから、参加者は興味深深と言った感じがプンプンとしていた。

　そこに何の変哲もない極ごく平凡なおっちゃんが出てきたので、多分、「何だ・・・」と云うイメージであったのでは？。でも、結構皆が真剣に聞いてくれていて、非常に話し易く、ついつい調子に乗ってしまいレジュメから大きく脱線することもあったが、結構思っている事が話せ、自分なりに満足のいくものとなった。

Last weekend, on Saturday the 3rd, I was asked to give a lecture by the non-profit organization Japan Legal Partners (JRP), and I gave a talk for about an hour and a half on the subject of “The Other Side of an Investigative Office”.

The JRP is a study group for people in the legal profession, with about 30 participants, mostly lawyers, judicial scriveners, patent attorneys, social insurance workers, real estate appraisers, administrative scriveners, and tax accountants. Most of the participants are in their 30s and 40s. It was a Saturday, so everyone was participating in the event in a rough appearance, which was quite different from the image I had had of myself, and I felt a little puzzled.

The subject matter was unilaterally decided by the representatives of JRP. This representative seems to like to watch everything from the other side, and both the first half and the second half were titled “the other side”, but I didn’t particularly want to talk about the other side. However, when people think of a detective, they have a strong image of a backroom business. Moreover, since it was titled “The other side of the detective,” the participants were very interested in it.

I think it was the image that I was thinking “What the heck…” because an ordinary and ordinary guy came out. However, everyone listened to me seriously and it was very easy to talk, and I sometimes got carried away and went off on a tangent from my resume, but I was able to talk about what I was thinking and was satisfied in my own way.

我が家の長女の友達に、カナダからイギリス留学を経て帰国し結婚。昨年出産し生後１０ケ月の子供の抱える新妻が居る。

彼女が昨年の大晦日、突然子連れで娘を訪ね、我が家に来た。小生は一言二言しゃべっただけであったが、何を思ったのか、娘に、「お父さまと廣太郎（愛犬のポメ）の写真が一枚欲しい・・」との申し入れがあったらしい。

彼女は家事と子育てに追われる身ではあるが、作家に成りたいとの希望を持っており、その為の勉強なのか、写真を観て想像を膨らませ、それを物語りにする事を心がけているらしい。

その作家の卵から、小生と廣太郎の物語が昨日送られてきた。

以下、廣信と廣太郎の物語

松谷廣信は、きのこの写真を撮るのが趣味である。ある日、いつものように山に行こうとすると、妻が「家の掃除をしたいから、コウちゃんも連れてって」と言いだした。コウちゃんとは、白いポメラニアンで、本名は廣太郎という。廣信はたしかにコウちゃんを溺愛しているが、写真の撮影には邪魔である。しかし妻に押し切られ、連れてゆくことになった。

　予想通り、山でコウちゃんにふりまわされ、写真どころではなかった。「まあでも、いつもと違うルートをめぐることができたし、良しとしよう」そう思って帰ろうとすると、視界にとてもめずらしいキノコがとびこんできた。「キヌカサタケ」だ。かさの下から白いレースのような膜ががひろがっている。廣信は急いでカメラを取り出し、その優美な姿をとらえるべく、夢中でシャッターを切った。

　ふと気がつくと、コウちゃんがいない。廣信はあせった。昼とはいえ、森の中は鬱蒼としていて、薄暗い。遠くへ行ってしまっていたら、見つけようが無い。汗だくになりながら、周辺を走り回り、ようやくその白い姿を見つけたときは、ほっとした。のもつかの間、彼は悲鳴をあげた。コウちゃんが、真っ赤なきのこをかじっていたのである。「それは毒きのこだよ！」言葉が通じるはずのない相手に、廣信は思わず叫んだ。するとコウちゃんが答えた。

「シッテルヨ。デモ、イヌニハドクジャナインダヨ。イチジカンダケ、ハナセルヨウニナルンダヨ」

　廣信は、何度も頭を振り、「俺も間違って毒きのこを食べたのかもしれない」とつぶやいた。コウちゃんは「アハハ」と笑い、「セッカクダカラ、カタリアオウ」と言って尻尾をふり、近ずいてきた。

　廣信はコウちゃんを抱き上げ、じっとみつめた。何が何だかわからないが、ずっとコウちゃんと話しができたらなあ、と思っていた。このさい、幻影でもなんでもいいじゃないか。「よし、そうしよう」

　二人は語り合った。家族のこと、政治のこと、人生のこと。

　それからというもの、廣信とコウちゃんは、毎週末一緒に山に行く。山で何をしているかは、家族には秘密だ。

本当だよなー、毎週とは言わない、一回でいいから廣太郎と 心を割って話し合ってみたい・・・。

My eldest daughter’s friend came back from Canada after studying in England and got married. I have a new wife who gave birth last year and has a 10-month-old child.

She came to our house last New Year’s Eve, unexpectedly visiting our daughter with her child. I only said a word or two, but I heard that my daughter asked me to take a picture of your father and Kotaro (my dog Pome).

Although she is busy with housework and child-rearing, she wants to be a writer, and it seems that this is what she studies for, and she tries to develop her imagination by looking at photographs and making them into stories.

The writer’s egg sent me a story about me and Kotaro yesterday.

The following is the story of Hironobu and Kotaro

Hironobu Matsutani’s hobby is to take pictures of mushrooms. One day, as I was about to go to the mountains as usual, my wife said, “I want to clean the house, so take Ko-chan with you. Ko-chan is a white Pomeranian whose real name is Kotaro. Hironobu does indeed dote on Ko-chan, but she’s a hindrance to the photo shoot. But his wife pushes him away and takes him away.

As expected, I was played by Ko-chan on the mountain and couldn’t take any more pictures. As I was about to leave, I saw a very rare mushroom in my field of vision. It’s a Kinukasatake. A white lace-like film is spreading out from under the brow. Hironobu hurriedly took out his camera and shot the shutter, intent on capturing the graceful figure.

When I noticed, Ko-chan was gone. Hironobu fumed. Even though it was daytime, the forest was dense and gloomy. If they’re too far away, there’s no way to find them. I ran around, drenched in sweat, and was relieved when I finally found the white figure. He shrieked, as if for a moment. Ko-chan was nibbling on a bright red mushroom. It’s a poisonous mushroom! Hironobu shouted thoughtlessly at the person who should not be able to understand his words. Then Ko-chan replied.

Sittelayo. Demonstration, Inu Nihadokujanindayo. I’m not going to say it again.

Hironobu shook his head several times and muttered, “I might have eaten the poisonous mushroom by mistake, too. Ko-chan laughed, “Ahaha,” he said, “Sekkaku dakara, kataliao,” wagging his tail, and approached him.

Hironobu picked Ko-chan up and stared at him. I don’t know what’s going on, but I’ve always wished I could talk to Kou. I don’t care if it’s an illusion or not. Okay, let’s do that.

The two of them talked. It’s about family, it’s about politics, it’s about life.

Since then, Hironobu and Ko-chan have been going to the mountains together every weekend. What he does in the mountains is a secret to his family.

It’s true, I’d like to have a heart-to-heart talk with him, not every week, but just once…
