昨日、日経新聞の文化欄にこんな記事があった。

石川県・能登町に昔から受け継がれてきた「あえのこと」と呼ばれる伝統行事らしいが、読んでいてほのぼのとした気分になり、一日気分よく仕事が出来た。そこで、「調査会社の社長ブログ」愛好者の賢い皆様にも、その気分のお裾分けをしたくなった。なんたる親心・・・。

石川県・能登町の農家では、昔はどこの家でも行っていた行事らしいが、今は保存会のごく一部の農家で継承されているだけらしい。ところが、実に素朴なこころ温まる行事である。

毎年１２月５日に田んぼの神さまをお招きし、１年の収穫を感謝するために家でもてなし、２月９日にお送りする行事で、「あえのこと」と呼ばれているらしい。

１２月５日の早朝、農家の家長（主）が尾頭つきの魚を買いに行き、主婦はお膳の調理にとりかかる。そして、家長は、栗の枝で１２ヶ月を意味する１尺２寸の大箸をつくる。夕方には紋付、袴に着替え、鍬を持って田んぼの神さまを迎えに行く。「田の神さま、春から冬までご苦労様でございました。お迎えにあがりました」とお伝えし、そして、「めでたい」と３回繰り返しながら土に鍬を入れ、神様を起こす。ところが、田の神さまは目が不自由と云う事で、家までお連れするのに、こまかい道案内を声にしながら帰る。田の神さまは夫婦であり、家の神棚の下にお膳を２つ並べ、赤飯や大根などの農作物のごちそうを並べてもてなす。勿論、尾頭つきの魚もお膳につける。そしてお風呂も沸かし、ゆったりとくつろいで頂く事にするらしい。しかも、田の神さまは目が不自由なため、家長は逐一説明をしながら、執り行なわなければならない。神さまの食事が終わった後で、お下がりを家族で頂戴する。そして約２ケ月間、家の中でおくつろぎ頂き、２月９日に田んぼにお送りする。

昔の日本人は、こうした目に見えないものに感謝すると云う、ほのぼのとした温かいものを持っていた様である。

天風先生のお言葉の中にも、「喜びがあるから感謝するのではなく、感謝するところに喜びがうまれる」と云うのがあった。

何となく、こうした目に見えないものに感謝するこころが広く持てたら、現代人はもっともっと幸せになれるだろうに・・・。

In Noto-cho, Ishikawa Prefecture, this event used to be held in every house in the past, but now only a few farmers of the Preservation Society have passed it on. However, it is really a simple and heartwarming event.

Every year on December 5th, we invite the gods of the rice paddies to give thanks for the year’s harvest and give them hospitality at home and send them off on February 9th.

Early in the morning of December 5, the farmer’s patriarch goes to buy fish with tails, and the housewife goes to work preparing the meal. Then, the patriarch uses a chestnut branch to make large chopsticks of 1 shaku 2 chopsticks, which means 12 months. In the evening, they change into their montsuki and hakama (traditional Japanese dress) and go to greet the gods of the rice fields with a hoe. Thank you for all your hard work from spring to winter. I tell them, “I’m here to welcome you,” and then I say, “Happy New Year,” three times and drive a hoe into the ground to wake up God. However, the god of the rice field is blind, so he took me home while giving me detailed directions in his voice. The gods of the rice field are husband and wife, who arrange two sets of dishes under the household altar and serve them with a feast of farm products such as red rice and radish. Of course, the fish with a tail head is also put on the table. The bath is also heated, and it seems that the guests will be able to relax in the comfort of their own home. Moreover, since the god of the rice field is blind, the patriarch had to perform the rituals while explaining them one by one. After God’s meal is over, the handouts are topped off as a family. They will then stay in the house for about two months to relax and be sent to the rice fields on February 9.

It seems that Japanese people in the past had a warm and heartwarming feeling of gratitude for such invisible things.

In his words, he said, “We don’t give thanks because we have joy, but because joy is born where we give thanks.

Somehow, if only we could have a broad sense of appreciation for these invisible things, we modern people would be much happier.

松の内が終わった先週末から新年会が目白押し、一日に２つ掛持ちなどと云うのもあり、今週は少々疲れ気味。そこで今週は、得意の奥の手を出す事に決定。

先般、全国調査業協会連合会から新年号（会報）の原稿依頼があり、急ぎ書き上げたものが手元にあるので、それを添付し、今週のブログとします。あいも変わらずの自己主張なれど、飽きずに一読頂ければ幸いです。

新年明けましておめでとう御座います。会員の皆様には清清しい新年をお迎えになられたこととお喜び申し上げます。今年こそは、干支に因んで「飛躍の年に」と願わずには居られませんが、関西の経済市況は依然厳しく、関西総合調査業協会は、会員減少に歯止めが掛からず、運営に苦慮しているのが現状です。

私は昨年、龍馬ブームに便乗し、「業界の龍馬たらん」と各団体に働きかけ、行政に堂々とものが言える、社会的信用を得た業界団体への再構築を願って動きました。

ところが大船の舵は重く、羅針盤を失くしたのか、航海不能ではと心配せざるを得ない状況にあり、未だその足がかりさえつけられずにいます。

自分ながら不甲斐ないと思うが、今は、大船が停泊するのをジッと待つしかないのか、などと思っています。

　それにしても個人情報保護の嵐は凄いね。ただ、この嵐も方向性を見失っている様に思う。目的は「個人の権利利益の保護」にあるが、現実は最も大切な権利（命）を侵害するに至っている。

　今や、個人情報は、本人承諾なくしては何一つ取ることは出来ず、例え取れたとしても、その情報の確認手段を取り上げられてしまっている。取り上げた本人は、「そんな事はした覚えが無い」と云うのでしょうが、現実はそうなのです。

　結果、狂喜乱舞しているのが詐欺師や悪巧みを考える輩です。政治家や行政官は、声の大きな一部の意見に耳を傾け、声の小さな大衆意見は聞く耳を持たないようである。

　私は、以前から住民票や戸籍の第三者入手に対する「本人通知制度」に警笛を鳴らして来たが、早くも心配した通りになりつつあり、箕面市、羽曳野市を皮切りに、今や大阪狭山市、河南町、岬町、富田林市、田尻町、高槻市、泉佐野市、吹田市、河内長野市,太子町、藤井寺市、千早赤阪村,柏原市、四条畷市、摂津市と広がりを見せている。

　これは、弁護士でも誰でも、戸籍、住民票の交付請求をすると、本人にお知らせすると云う非常にご親切なシステムです。ただ自分の事だけ考えると、だれでも「あーそれは良いのでは・・」と思うでしょう。ところが今一歩踏み込んで考えると大変な問題である事に気付くはずです。

　例えば彼氏彼女に不審を持ち、本当に独身なのか、1人暮らしなのか、それを調べようとすると、役所が「貴方は調べられていますよ」と相手にお知らせするのです。「私は何処どこの誰です」と云われ、相手を信用していたが、「どうも一寸？」と思って確認すると、「貴方は確認されていますよ」と教えてあげるのです。一事が万事です。ワルは間違いなくこの制度を利用するでしょう。

調査に関し、消費者に一番身近に居る私達調査業者が、こうした問題に真剣に取り組むには、業界団体の意見統一と、その力がどうしても必要になります。採用調査問題にしてもしかりです。小異を捨て大道に着くことが、業界の発展、ひいては消費者保護に繋がるものと確信し、今年も微力ながら協会活動に取り組む所存です、ご支援の程を宜しくお願いします。

I’ve been having a lot of New Year’s parties since last weekend after the end of Matsunachi, and I’ve been having two parties in one day, so I’m a little tired this week. So, this week, I decided to try my best backhanded trick.

I wish you a Happy New Year. I would like to wish all of our members a very happy and clean New Year. However, the economic situation in the Kansai region is still severe, and the Kansai Research Association is struggling to manage its operations as the number of members is decreasing.

Last year, I took advantage of the Ryoma boom and lobbied each organization as “the Ryoma of the industry”, hoping to rebuild it into an industry organization that can speak openly to the government and has gained social credibility.

However, the big ship’s rudder is so heavy that one can’t help but worry that she may have lost her compass or failed to sail, and she has yet to find a foothold.

I feel unworthy of myself, but now I’m wondering if I should just wait for the big ship to anchor.

That said, it’s a great storm to protect personal information. However, I think this storm is also losing its direction. The aim is to “protect the rights and interests of the individual”, but in reality, it has gone so far as to violate the most important right (life).

Now, no personal information can be taken without the consent of the person, and even if it is taken, the means of confirming the information has been taken away. The person who took it up may say, “I don’t remember doing that,” but the reality is that it’s true.

As a result, it is the con artists and devious thinkers who are in a frenzy. Politicians and administrators seem to listen to the opinions of the loudest part of the voice and not to the small voice popular opinion.

I have been sounding the alarm about the “person notification system” against the third party obtaining the residence certificate and family register for a long time.

This is a very kind system that says that anyone, even a lawyer, will inform the person in question when he or she makes a request for delivery of the family register and residence certificate. If you only think about yourself, everyone will think, “Oh, that’s good… However, if you take a step back and think about it now, you will realize that it is a very serious problem.

For example, if you become suspicious of your boyfriend or girlfriend and try to find out if they are really single or if they live alone, the government will tell them, “You are under investigation. “I’m here, I’m here, I’m here, I’m here, I’m here, I’m here. If you think, “I’m sure you’ve been checked,” I’ll tell you. One thing is all that matters. Wal will definitely take advantage of this system.

We, the surveyors who are closest to consumers in terms of surveys, need the power and unification of industry groups to seriously address these issues. The same is true for recruitment survey issues. 一月初めの３連休は、東北か北海道でスキーと云うのが何時ものことであったが、今年は予定変更で２月半ばとなった。

８日（土）の朝、何時もの事ながら、目覚めて、「エッ今日から３連休・・・」と気付く。そんなのだから計画など全く立てていない・・。そこで朝食を取りながら考える。考えると言っても、自分の事を自分で考えるのだから、直ぐに答えはでる。休みにすることは、映画、ゴルフ、読書、庭掃除、とこの４つしかない。

そこで先ず女房に「映画、今何やってる」、「○○、○○」、で直ぐに「アンストッパブル」に決定。映画評論は上手くできないが、とにかくこれは良かった。ストーリーは、無人の暴走列車を如何に止めるか、と云う単純なものであるが、３０分間は緊張と興奮の連続で、ハリウッド映画を十二分に満喫することができた。逆に、連休３日目に観た「生まれる」は、正直暇つぶし的な感覚で、「娯楽映画ばかりよりも、たまにはこんなのも・・・」的な思いで、映画館に向かったが、これがまた良かった。色々と考えさせられた・・・・”映画って良いなー”。

ところが本当は今日書きたかったのはこんな事ではない。土曜日の朝、映画と同時に思い立ったのがゴルフ、そこで天気予報を見ると、日曜は暖かく月曜から寒波、しかもゴルフ手帳をみると日曜はＡクラスの月例、早速ホームコースに電話、エントリーＯＫ。

予報通りの好天気とは行かなかったが、天気などなんのその、何と５アンダーでホールアウト。もしや優勝も、とほくそえんだが結果は５アンダーが３名。１人はハンデキャップ３の兵で優勝は逃したが、悪くとも３位入賞は間違いなし（後の１人が同ハンデーで年齢勝負となるが発表を聞いていない為）。

何れにしても幸先の良い新春ゴルフであった。

In the beginning of January, we usually spend three consecutive holidays skiing in Tohoku or Hokkaido, but this year we changed our plans to the middle of February.

On the morning of the 8th (Saturday), as usual, I woke up and realized that it was my third consecutive holiday since today. That’s why I don’t make any plans at all… So I think about it over breakfast. When I say think about it, I mean think about yourself, and you’ll get the answer right away. There are only four things to do on my day off: movies, golf, reading, and yard cleaning.

So, I asked my wife, “What’s the movie going on right now?”, “xxx, xxx” and immediately decided on “Unstoppable”. I’m not a good movie reviewer, but this was good anyway. The story is a simple one of how to stop a runaway unmanned train, but for 30 minutes I was so tense and excited that I was able to fully enjoy this Hollywood movie. On the other hand, I saw “The Birth” on the third day of the consecutive holidays, and to be honest, I went to the movie theater as a way to kill time. It made me think about a lot of things… “Movies are good.

However, this is not what I really wanted to write about today. According to the weather forecast, it was warm on Sunday and cold from Monday, and according to my golf handbook, Sunday is a class A monthly event, so I called my home course as soon as possible and entered.

The weather was not as good as the forecast, but I was able to get out of the hole at 5 under par. There were 3 players under 5, one of whom had a handicap of 3 and didn’t win, but he was sure to finish in 3rd place at least at the worst (one of the players after him was the same handicap player, but I hadn’t heard the announcement).

In any case, it was an auspicious new year’s golf.

新年明けましておめでとう御座います。

本年も週一ペースでブログを更新するつもりですので、「調査会社の社長ブログ」に目を通して頂いている数少ない賢者諸氏、今年もご愛顧の程宜しくお願い申し上げます。また、時に何らかのメッセージが頂けたら幸甚に存じます。

弊社は５日より業務スタート。毎年の事ながら、５日は挨拶回りと決めており、その為車で会社に行くことにしている。毎年、その通勤途上の道路（１号線）の混み具合でその年の景気を予測しているが、今年は見事にガラガラ、何時もだと守口から高速に乗るが余りにもスイスイで、「これでは早く着きすぎる」と思い、下道を走って時間調整をしたくらいであった。と云うことは・・・・・。

でも日経新聞によると、大企業は今期３月期の株主配分１０％増（業績回復で６兆円）とあり、大初会では景気良く株高でスタートしたらしい。非常に喜ばしい事ではあるが、個人的には今ひとつしっくり来ていない。

大企業の多くは増益基調にあるようで、それが景気回復による増収増益なら万々歳であるが、私にはどうもそうは思えない。この不況下での増益はコスト削減の効果によるところが大きく、ある意味腹立たしい思いがしている。

企業努力によるコスト削減等と云えば、言葉は良いが、実際は下請け泣かせや納入業者叩き、アルバイト、派遣、準社員など労働力の低コスト化を徹底的に行ってのものであり、周辺者を泣かせ自己の利益確保に重きを置く、アメリカ的経営姿勢が見え隠れして、どうにも喜べないのである。

回顧趣味ではないが、年功序列や運命共同体的企業体質で急成長を遂げた昭和４０年代が懐かしく思えてならない。

こんな事を言っている様では弊社の将来は？、だけど何となく今年は明るい年になりそうな気がしている。極楽トンボかな・・・・。

We started our business on the 5th. As is the case every year, I have decided to go to the office by car on the 5th to say hello. Every year, I predict the economy of the year based on the congestion of the roads on the way to work (Route 1), but this year’s congestion was so great that I took the expressway from Moriguchi, but it was so easy that I had to drive down the road to adjust the time, thinking that I would arrive too early. That means…

However, according to the Nikkei newspaper, large companies are expected to increase their shareholder allocation by 10% for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2012 (6 trillion yen due to a recovery in earnings), so it seems that stocks got off to a good start with a strong start to the day. It’s a very pleasing thing to see, but it doesn’t quite fit with me personally.

Many large companies seem to be on a profit-making trend, and if this is due to the economic recovery, it would be all the better. The increase in profits during this recession was largely due to cost-cutting, which was annoying in a way.

The word “cost reduction through corporate efforts” sounds good, but the reality is that the company has been making subcontractors cry, hitting suppliers, and thoroughly reducing the cost of part-time, temporary, and associate workers.

Although this is not a retrospective interest, I can’t help but feel nostalgic for the forties, when the company grew rapidly due to a system of seniority and shared destiny.

What does the future hold for our company if we keep saying things like this? But I have a feeling that this year is going to be a bright one. A dragonfly in paradise….
